Great Wolf Lodge brings back annual summer camp-in celebration

A seasonal transformation is coming to the region’s indoor water park destination. Great Wolf Lodge in Mashantucket is bringing back its annual Summer Camp-In celebration, running from May 21 to August 23, 2026. The Connecticut location will adopt a traditional campground atmosphere featuring campfires, s’mores, and themed family activities alongside the standard indoor water park amenities.

The seasonal programming includes the Trailblazer Challenge, an interactive setup where guests participate in daily events like bean bag toss and family trivia to earn badges. Collecting five badges awards participants the title of Trailblazer. Daily activities also feature hands-on arts and crafts, including friendship bracelet making, personalized pennants, buttons, keychains, and origami tents.

Families can attend scheduled entertainment throughout the day, such as morning Yoga Tails sessions featuring stories inspired by resort characters. Daily Splash & Dance Pool Parties will take place at the water park, featuring games like limbo, freeze dance, and hula hoop. Character appearances from Wiley Wolf, Violet Wolf, and others are scheduled throughout the day, leading up to evening campfire stories and the Summer Camp-In Jamboree dance party in the Grand Lobby.

The resort locations are also introducing a limited-time summer food and beverage menu. The new lineup includes a New England Dog featuring lobster meat dressed in lemon mayonnaise and herbs on a split-top roll. Other additions feature a Hot Honey Double Pepperoni Pizza, a Mega Bacon Smoky Barbecue Double Cheeseburger, and a Grilled Salmon & Avocado Summer Salad. Group options include Ranch Chicken Popcorn served in a shareable bucket, Garlic Parmesan Chicken Wings, and the customizable Big Wolf Combo Platter with choices of ribs, chicken tenders, and sausage.

On Friday and Saturday nights, a Garlic Herb Roasted Prime Rib dinner will be available while supplies last. The prime rib is served with green beans, horseradish sauce, au jus, Caesar salad, and a choice of potato or rice side dish. New dessert options feature a Cotton Candy Milkshake and Strawberries & Cream Funnel Cake Fries.

For beverage options, the seasonal menu introduces a Strawberry Vodka Lemonade made with Tito’s Handmade Vodka, a Poolside Passion Margarita featuring Sauza Hacienda Silver Tequila, and a non-alcoholic Firefly drink blending lemonade, strawberry purée, and pineapple juice.

These seasonal activities and menus run concurrently with the resort’s permanent attractions. The properties continue to offer standard year-round amenities, including full-scale indoor water parks, Ten Paw Alley, Build-A-Bear workshops, the Northern Lights Arcade, and the MagiQuest live-action game.
