The Great Pratt Street Autumn Festival returns to Hartford on Saturday, October 3, and Sunday, October 4. Admission to the two-day event is free with an RSVP.

The festival features a variety of seasonal activities, shopping, and entertainment along Pratt Street. Visitors can explore a pumpkin patch by Brown’s Harvest, free face painting from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m., flash tattoos at Refuge Tattoo, and a Saturday-only Knit-a-Thon by West End Woolies.

A daily stage schedule offers live performances starting at 11 a.m. with the Hartford Public Library Story Hour, followed by the Playhouse on the Park Cabaret at 12 p.m., the Valley Chordsmen barbershop quartet at 2 p.m., and line dancing with Stompin’ Boots at 4 p.m. The weekend lineup also includes performances by Town Troubadour Elena Foster from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., School of Rock Band, The New Brew Band, and Sweetie Belle Band.

Craft workshops and interactive stations are available throughout both days, including free craft activities hosted by The Art Child, Helena’s Casita, and The Wadsworth. Paid options include candle making by NaturalAnnie Essentials, crafts by Make in Motion, and a flower arranging workshop at Bloom Bake Shop, which requires advance registration. Historic Pedal Pub Tours are offered for $15 for an all-day pass, connecting attendees to sites such as the Bushnell Park Carousel, The Wadsworth Atheneum, and the Old State House.

A rotating outdoor vendor market features regional makers alongside local brick-and-mortar Pratt Street shops and eateries, including Hartford Prints!, Gentle Bull Shop, Sorella Hartford, Vaughan’s Public House, Bloom Bake Shop, and Sunberry Hartford. Parking for attendees is available at nearby locations including the MAT Garage at 20 Church Street, Pratt St. Lot at 66-70 Asylum Street, and the Temple Garage at 56 Market Street.
