Gina Gershon to headline VersoFest author talk at Westport Library

Celebrated actress and author Gina Gershon will headline an author talk at The Westport Library on March 28 as part of VersoFest 2026, a statewide draw for music, media and cultural programming.

Gershon will discuss her new memoir, AlphaPussy: How I Survived the Valley and Learned to Love My Boobs, in conversation with award-winning journalist Alisyn Camerota. The 5 p.m. event will be held in the library’s Trefz Forum, with tickets priced at $35 and including a copy of the book.

VersoFest has grown into one of Connecticut’s notable cultural festivals, bringing nationally recognized artists, writers and performers to the region each spring. This year’s lineup includes a performance by The Thing on Feb. 27, a March 26 conversation with folk-rock legend Ani DiFranco and a March 27 concert by Grammy-winning artist Wyclef Jean, along with panels, installations and keynote discussions.

In her memoir, Gershon reflects on a life shaped by unexpected turns, chronicling her path from California to New York and through the film, television and theater worlds. The book blends candid storytelling with humor and insight, focusing on self-determination and learning to navigate both personal and professional challenges.

Gershon’s career includes film roles in Bound, Showgirls, The Insider and Face/Off, along with television appearances on Curb Your Enthusiasm, Riverdale and Brooklyn Nine-Nine. She has also performed on Broadway and at Carnegie Hall and is the author of multiple books and stage works.

Camerota, a longtime CNN anchor and correspondent, has earned Emmy, Edward R. Murrow and duPont-Columbia awards for her journalism. Her writing includes the novel Amanda Wakes Up and the best-selling memoir Combat Love.
