Gallery One presents Viewing the Moment exhibition in Southington

The artists of Gallery One are presenting “Viewing the Moment,” a new exhibition exploring personal experiences, everyday occurrences, and poignant memories that shape lives. The show features a collection of visual narratives created through painting, photography, and collage.

The exhibition is on view at the Southington Community Cultural Arts Center, located at 93 Main Street in Southington, CT. The display runs from September 25 through October 17, 2026. An opening reception with the artists is scheduled for Saturday, September 26, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.

The show celebrates shared human experiences ranging from quiet moments to connections with the changing world. “Our 10 artists invite the viewer to pause and share in the visual stories portrayed in each work,” said Gallery One artist Diana Rogers, who noted that this marks the group’s first time exhibiting in the SoCCA gallery space.

Participating artists represent communities across the state, including Rosemary Cotnoir of Westbrook, Michael Fanelli and Diana Rogers of Clinton, Victor Filepp of New London, Karen Israel and Brian McClear of West Hartford, Ann Knickerbocker of Old Saybrook, and T. Willie Raney, Rick Silberberg, and Jill Vaughn of Ivoryton.

The exhibit is free and open to the public. Gallery hours are Tuesday through Friday from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m., with the facility closed on Sundays and Mondays.
