Foxwoods announced one million dollar Firecracker Bingo event to mark forty year milestone

Foxwoods Resort Casino has announced an upcoming anniversary event titled Firecracker Bingo to celebrate 40 years of bingo operations. The milestone celebration is scheduled for Saturday, July 4, 2026, inside the High Stakes Bingo Hall on Trolley Line Boulevard. The event features more than 1 million dollars in total cash and prizes, which includes a 440,000 dollar single cash jackpot and 40,000 dollars in door prizes.

The resort has announced that the main jackpot game will serve as an official live attempt at the Guinness World Records title for the largest payout for a game of bingo within a single bingo house. An official adjudicator, Michael Empric, will be on-site to evaluate and verify the payout in accordance with organization guidelines. The milestone event honors the original bingo hall opened on sovereign land by the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation on July 5, 1986.

The initial 1986 bingo hall established the economic foundation for the tribe and set a national model for tribal gaming prior to the official opening of Foxwoods Resort Casino in 1992. Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation Chairman Rodney A. Butler noted that the original bingo operation served as a catalyst for community growth and long-term financial opportunities. Today, the venue operates one of the largest physical bingo halls in the United States, featuring a seating capacity of more than 2,000 seats.

The schedule for the July 4 holiday event begins early, with doors announced to open at 6:00 a.m. Warm-up games are set to begin at 12:00 p.m., followed by the start of the main games at 1:00 p.m. Foxwoods President and CEO Jason Guyot stated that the record attempt serves as a way to honor the legacy of the original facility scale and tribal investment.

Public admission tickets for the anniversary event are currently available for purchase online through standard Ticketmaster links. Interested participants can also buy tickets in person directly at the Foxwoods Bingo Hall box office. Venue management has announced that early ticket purchases are strongly encouraged for all prospective attendees.
