Billy Joel’s The Stranger and Steely Dan’s Aja, performed back to back, in full, with zero backing tracks. Both albums were released the same week in September 1977. This performance is in anticipation of their 50th anniversary.Low Darts are a five-piece studio rock & soul band known for reconstructing the greatest rock and soul records of the ’70s and ’80s exactly as they were made — not just the songs, but the recordings: the grooves, the harmonies, the exact instrumental parts, including some the original artists never attempted live. With over 16 million YouTube views and 100,000+ subscribers worldwide, they’ve built a following of fans who describe hearing their youth played back to them by a generation that wasn’t even born yet.

Marshall Crenshaw

Born in 1953 in Detroit, Michigan, Marshall Crenshaw learned to tune a guitar correctly at age ten and has been trying ever since. His first big break came in 1978 playing John Lennon in “Beatlemania”, first as an understudy in New York, then in the West Coast company, followed by a national touring company. Removing himself from that situation in Feb. 1980, Marshall settled in New York City. Enthralled by the hyper-diverse musical culture of the City, and the local Rock scene in particular, Marshall formed a Rock and Roll band with brother Robert on drums and Chris Donato on bass.

After crossing paths with the great and legendary Alan Betrock, Marshall recorded his debut single “Something’s Gonna Happen” for Betrock’s Shake Records label; at nearly the same time, legendary Rockabilly singer Robert Gordon’s recording of Marshall’s “Someday Someway” was released as a single on the RCA label. These two records simultaneously broke big on New York’s WNEW-FM, causing Marshall and his trio’s local popularity to explode.

And so began a career that’s spanned four decades, 13 albums, film and TV appearances (Buddy Holly in “La Bamba”) and thousands of live performances.

Marshall formed his current touring band in 2022, featuring guitarist, multi-instramentalist and record producer Fernando Perdomo, bassist and singer-songwriter Derrick Anderson, and drummer Mark Ortmann, founding member of the legendary Bottle Rockets.

Of his City Winery New York show last fall Infocus Visions Music & Arts Magazine hailed, “Marshall Crenshaw live is an experience in itself. Forget the solo artist; this is a full band explosion that showcases the magic of musical synergy. Watching them on stage is like peeking into a creative engine room. You see the interplay, the energy flowing between them, how each member feeds off the others to create that signature Marshall Crenshaw sound.”

back to BACK TO BLACK: the AMY WINEHOUSE celebration is an exciting dedication to the life and music of AMY WINEHOUSE with a 12-piece band and 20th ANNIVERSARY REVIVAL of the entire 2006 Grammy Award-winning album BACK TO BLACK in its entirety, plus many other Amy selections. Including the hits “Tears Dry On Their Own”, “Rehab”, “Love is a Losing Game”, “You Know I’m No Good”, and many more, the show features a horn section, several vocalists, and musicians from many notable touring acts, making it the only revue of its kind in the US celebrating the music of Amy Winehouse, as noted and celebrated by ROLLING STONE Magazine. The evening is hosted and presented by acclaimed entertainer Remember Jones, who has shared stages with Bruce Springsteen, Ronnie Spector, Dionne Warwick, Darlene Love, George Clinton and Parliament Funkadelic, and many more.

Crystal Bowersox

Crystal Bowersox, a northwest Ohio native, has built her world around music. By the age of 10, she was performing in local clubs and venues. On the cusp of 18 and with a curious heart, Crystal moved to Chicago, IL, where she spent her days busking on subway platforms between working odd jobs and attending school.

Chicago’s rich musical history helped Bowersox to broaden her musical horizons. Ultimately, Bowersox auditioned for the ninth season of American Idol, and her time on the show proved to be well spent. In 2010, her debut album, “Farmer’s Daughter” was released on Jive Records and since, she has since released 3 LP’s, two EPs, several singles, and is currently developing a theatrical rock concert titled, “Trauma Queen”. Crystal has recorded and performed alongside several notable names and additionally, has used her voice and talents to benefit several organizations close to her heart.
