Fairfield County Bank expands Aquarium’s educational access with gift to campaign

The Maritime Aquarium at Norwalk is proud to announce a $50,000 gift from Fairfield County Bank in support of the Aquarium’s Create Your Connection Campaign, its newly launched $20-million campaign. This funding will broaden access to the Aquarium’s educational programs by increasing the availability of financial support. It reflects not only Fairfield County Bank’s commitment to community investment but also the strength of a partnership that has flourished for more than 30 years.

From the Aquarium’s day-to-day banking services to critical financial support during challenging times, including the global pandemic, Fairfield County Bank has exemplified what it means to be a community bank. Its support has extended beyond financial services to include sponsorships of the Aquarium’s annual Gala and Golf Classic, contributing to the success of these fundraising events year after year.

This latest gift will help to expand access to the Aquarium’s education programs, which reach more than 60,000 students annually. With growing demand from schools serving low- and middle-income communities, the funding will provide critical financial assistance to ensure that all students — regardless of background — can benefit from hands-on learning experiences that connect them to Long Island Sound and the ocean.
