Fairfield University’s Regina A. Quick Center for the Arts will come alive on Tuesday, November 11, as Indigenous hip-hop artist and storyteller Supaman takes the stage for an evening that promises rhythm, reflection, and cultural fusion. The performance begins at 7 p.m. and is part of the University’s yearlong America250: The Promise and Paradox programming series.

Supaman — also known as Christian Takes Gun Parrish of the Apsaalooke Nation (Crow) — has captivated audiences across the world with his ability to seamlessly blend contemporary hip-hop and traditional Native music and dance. His performances intertwine drumbeats, flute melodies, rap, and choreography with deeply personal storytelling that explores themes of identity, resilience, unity, and healing.

Both an emcee and traditional dancer, Supaman uses his art to honor Indigenous heritage while connecting with modern audiences. His message-driven performances have earned him national acclaim and appearances on MTV, TEDx, and NPR, where his work has been recognized for its authenticity, creativity, and cultural significance.

The Quick Center event will offer audiences an immersive experience, combining high-energy hip-hop with sacred elements of ritual and narrative. More than a concert, the evening invites reflection on the shared human experience — and how music can bridge generations, histories, and communities.

Tickets are priced at $20 for general admission, $10 for Quick Center members, and free for Fairfield University students, faculty, and staff. Tickets can be purchased at quickcenter.fairfield.edu.

This performance is part of Fairfield University’s America250: The Promise and Paradox initiative, a yearlong celebration of the nation’s 250th anniversary that highlights the country’s complex history through art, dialogue, and storytelling. The program encourages audiences to reflect on the nation’s past while imagining its shared future.

The Supaman event is co-sponsored by the Office of Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging; The Arts Institute of the John Charles Meditz College of Arts and Sciences; The Quick Center for the Arts; The Center for Arts and Minds; and the Fairfield University Student Association.
