The Lyme Art Association is honored to present Earl Grenville Killeen Solo Show: An Artist for Today, Tomorrow, and Always, on view from July 1 through July 17, 2025. This special exhibition celebrates the artistic vision and lifelong contributions of Elected Artist Earl Grenville Killeen.

A master of color, mood, and memory, Killeen’s work has long captivated collectors with its sensitivity and imagination. In a remarkable act of generosity, the artist has donated the majority of his personal collection to the Lyme Art Association. Proceeds from this exhibition will support the Association’s educational programs and special projects—ensuring that art continues to flourish in the community he loves.

Jeff Cooley, owner of The Cooley Gallery in Old Lyme and long-time friend of Earl Killeen, notes, “A fine work of art combines high craft with deep soul on the part of the artist. I have had the honor of knowing and working with Earl Killeen for twenty years and I have consistently seen him using his intellect and deeply introspective view of the world around him, along with highly practiced craft, to create fascinating images.

Visitors to the exhibition will find a broad range of Killeen’s framed and unframed works, available at specially reduced prices. This is a unique opportunity for collectors, art lovers, and the public to acquire a piece of Killeen’s artistic legacy and give his works the good homes he hopes for.

A public reception will be held on Saturday, July 12, from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. All are welcome to attend and celebrate the life and work of this beloved artist.
