Guitarist and bandleader Dweezil Zappa will bring his upcoming tour to Connecticut this fall. The performance is scheduled for Saturday, November 7, 2026, at the Toyota Oakdale Theatre in Wallingford.

The concert is part of the newly announced DZ20: Like Father, Like Son Tour. The run marks a milestone celebrating 20 years of Dweezil performing the complex and technically demanding musical catalog of his late father, Frank Zappa.

The tour performance will feature more than two hours of music spanning rock, jazz, fusion, orchestral, and experimental traditions. The setlist will include a mix of classic fan favorites, deep cuts, and improvisational moments. According to Zappa, the arrangements often blend familiar songs into hybrid versions, offering new parts and unexpected arrangements to listeners.

Zappa stated that spending two decades playing his father’s music continues to challenge and inspire him. He noted that each tour provides an opportunity to revisit the compositions from a new perspective to surprise both the audience and himself.

For the touring band, Zappa assembles a group of musicians tasked with executing the intricate, multi-genre repertoire. To support the technical production, the tour is also offering specialized VIP tickets. These packages include pre-show soundcheck access, a live mixing experience that shows how the concert audio is balanced in real time, and side-stage viewing options during the main performance.
