David Byrne has announced additional spring 2026 North American tour dates, including a May 15 stop at Hartford HealthCare Amphitheater in Bridgeport.

The newly added dates follow the recent conclusion of the first leg of Byrne’s critically acclaimed “Who Is the Sky” tour, which celebrates the release of his latest album of the same name on Matador Records. Tickets for the Bridgeport show go on sale Friday, Dec. 12. Fans can access the artist presale beginning Tuesday, Dec. 9, at 10 a.m. ET through Thursday, Dec. 11, at 10 p.m.

Byrne will begin 2026 with tour dates across Australia and New Zealand before heading to Europe and the United Kingdom. Additional international dates are planned for summer 2026.

The tour will also feature a range of VIP packages, which vary by option but may include premium seating, a guided stage tour with an onstage photo opportunity, a signed copy of Byrne’s photo book, and early venue entry. More information is available through VIP Nation.

Who Is the Sky? marks Byrne’s first album since 2018’s American Utopia, which later became a hit Broadway production and HBO film. The new album was produced by Grammy winner Kid Harpoon and arranged by members of the New York-based chamber ensemble Ghost Train Orchestra. Guest collaborators include Hayley Williams of Paramore, St. Vincent and The Smile drummer Tom Skinner.

Last month, Byrne released the single “T Shirt,” co-produced with longtime collaborator Brian Eno. The electro-pop track has become a standout moment on the current tour. Byrne and his band recently performed an NPR Tiny Desk Concert in support of the album.

Formed around themes of connection and self-discovery, Who Is the Sky? was introduced by the single “Everybody Laughs,” accompanied by a music video directed by multimedia artist Gabriel Barcia-Colombo. Byrne said the new project reflects a renewed creative freedom, embracing experimentation and collaboration later in his career.

The Bridgeport performance will bring Byrne’s latest era to Connecticut audiences as his international tour continues to expand through 2026.
