Connecticut Sun unveil 2026 Theme Night Schedule

The Connecticut Sun have announced their lineup of theme nights for the 2026 season, featuring a wide range of fan-focused events and community celebrations at Mohegan Sun Arena.

The “Sunset Season” schedule includes themed games designed to highlight culture, community, and entertainment throughout the team’s home slate.

The season tips off May 10 with a home opener against the Seattle Storm. The game, presented by TD Bank, will also serve as a Mother’s Day celebration, with complimentary carnations distributed to mothers in attendance.

Among the highlights is a Juneteenth celebration on June 19, when the Sun hosts the Toronto Tempo. The event will feature tributes to Black history and culture through music, presentations, and community engagement.

Indigenous Peoples’ Night is set for June 22 against the Chicago Sky, honoring the heritage of the Mohegan Tribe and other Indigenous communities with cultural performances and programming.

The team will also host PRIDE Night on June 26 versus the Washington Mystics, celebrating the LGBTQ+ community with special performances and in-game recognition.

Other featured events include Throwback Night on July 10 against the Golden State Valkyries, and Blaze’s Birthday on July 14, when the Sun welcome the Portland Fire for a daytime game featuring mascot appearances and halftime entertainment.

STEM Night will take place Aug. 7 against the Phoenix Mercury, highlighting science and technology opportunities in the region, while Princess Day on Aug. 15 will offer family-friendly activities ahead of a matchup with the New York Liberty.

Marvel Night on Aug. 25, also against the Chicago Sky, will include themed entertainment and giveaways tied to the popular superhero franchise.

The schedule continues with Women of Inspiration Night on Aug. 26, recognizing influential women, and a Homecoming Game on Sept. 20 against the Minnesota Lynx, celebrating the franchise’s history and community ties.

The regular-season home finale, Fan Appreciation Night, is set for Sept. 24 against the Toronto Tempo, featuring giveaways and tributes to supporters.

The Connecticut Sun said the theme nights are designed to create memorable experiences for fans of all ages while highlighting the team’s connection to the community throughout the season.
