Connecticut Sun launches speaker series with President Jennifer Rizzotti

The Connecticut Sun announced Thursday the launch of a four-part speaker series featuring team president Jennifer Rizzotti, offering an inside look at leadership, resilience, and success on and off the court.

Titled From the Court to the C-Suite, the exclusive series invites fans, professionals, and parents to learn from Rizzotti, a former WNBA standout and Olympic gold medalist who has become one of the most influential executives in professional sports. Across four sessions running from February through May, Rizzotti will share lessons drawn from her career as an athlete, coach, and business leader, with each event designed to encourage dialogue and provide practical takeaways.

The series opens Feb. 24 at the Quinnipiac UClub with Fired Up: How a Dark Moment Led Me to the Light. In the opening session, Rizzotti will reflect on an unexpected career turning point and discuss how preparation, resilience, and strong relationships helped her transform adversity into opportunity.

On March 12, the series continues at the Pond House Café in West Hartford with Madam President: Lunch and Learn with Women CEOs. The panel discussion will bring together women leaders from across Connecticut to share their paths to executive leadership and offer guidance for those aspiring to break barriers in the C-suite.

The third installment, Coaching for Parents: A Huddle for Those Raising Scholar Athletes, takes place April 7 at Post University’s Drubner Center. Aimed at parents, the session draws on Rizzotti’s experience as a recruiter, coach, and parent to provide insight into navigating youth sports while supporting academic success.

The series concludes May 4 at Mohegan Sun’s Cabaret Theater with Rizzotti’s LAW: Leadership, Accountability, Winning. In the closing talk, Rizzotti will outline the three principles she credits with shaping her career and share strategies for applying them to personal and professional goals.

“I’ve been fortunate to experience success in many different arenas, first as an athlete, then as a coach, and now as an executive,” Rizzotti said. “But what people don’t always see are the challenges and setbacks that shaped me along the way. This series is about sharing those lessons so others can find strength and confidence in their own journey.”
