Connecticut Department of Agriculture highlights 34 exhibitors at The Big E 2025

The Connecticut Department of Agriculture (CT DoAg), in partnership with the Connecticut Office of Tourism, is excited to present 34 agricultural exhibitors in the Connecticut Building at The Big E, running September 12–28, 2025, in West Springfield, Massachusetts. Over 17 days, visitors can explore Connecticut’s rich agricultural offerings through a mix of local products, educational experiences, and hands-on activities. A full schedule of featured businesses is available online.

“Visiting the Connecticut Building at The Big E offers a snapshot of our state’s agriculture—from award-winning farm wines and artisan foods to locally grown produce, fiber, and flowers,” said Agriculture Commissioner Bryan P. Hurlburt. “It’s a taste of what makes Connecticut special and a reminder to visit our farms across the state throughout the year.”

Five New Vendors Join the Lineup

This year’s showcase introduces five new exhibitors:

Connecticut Farm Wineries

Fairgoers can sample 17 wines from Connecticut Grown grapes, produced by 11 award-winning farm wineries. Organized by the CT Farm Wine Development Council, the booth will feature a range of varietals, from rosé and Merlot to Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc. Visitors can enjoy a glass of their favorite wine, try a new varietal, or cool off with a wine slushie.

Special Events

Connecticut Day – Wednesday, September 17:
Visit CT Apples for a free Connecticut Grown apple from a local orchard (while supplies last).
Harvest New England Day – Friday, September 26:
Pick up a Harvest New England Day passport card and visit all state buildings along the Avenue of States, plus the New England State Grange, to collect stamps. Fill your passport to redeem a free tote bag. Visit the CT Grown tent on the front lawn to spin the trivia wheel, sample fresh local milk from the New England Dairy mobile milk truck, and shop CT Grown vendors for farm-fresh products.

Family Fun Under the Tent

The Connecticut Building’s picnic area features farm-themed photo opportunities with playful cutouts from The Farmer’s Cow. Share your photos on social media with #BigECTFarmFun for a chance to be featured on official channels.

This year’s Connecticut Building exhibit celebrates the diversity of Connecticut agriculture, artisanal products, and farm-to-table traditions, highlighting the industries and businesses that make the state unique. Visitors can experience the best of Connecticut farms and local enterprises all in one location.
