ConnectFairfield is hosting Fun Fore Scholarship Fundraiser in Fairfield on August 6
ConnectFairfield is excited to announce their August event, FUN FORE Scholarship Fundraiser. The event is taking place on August 6th at Golf Lounge 18 located at 85 Mill Plain Road in Fairfield, CT.
Golfers and non-golfers alike are invited to attend a really fun afternoon of lawn games, virtual golf simulators, contests, food and drinks, and live music from The Ellis Island Band. Attendees are also encouraged to wear college apparel.
FUN FORE will benefit the Mike and Patti Fishbach Memorial Caddie Scholarship, which honors Debbi O’Keefe’s parents- “My mom, brother, and I started this scholarship after my dad died suddenly in 2014,” says O’Keefe. “Playing golf was something my parents enjoyed doing together. My mom quickly developed a love of the sport and would play several times a week. When she passed away in November 2022, we renamed the scholarship to also honor her.”
The scholarship was established in 2015 and is awarded based on financial need, hard work, and educational goals for a deserving caddie from Rockrimmon Country Club. Patti was an active participant in interviewing the five scholars and was especially proud in 2022 when Morgan Squires, the first female, was selected. Recipients have primarily been the first in their family to attend college, and have now graduated or are currently studying at Fairfield UniversityBellarmine, Housatonic Community College, Southern Connecticut, UConn Stamford, and UConn Storrs.
Tickets are limited and can be purchased here. Companies who want to sponsor the event can also reach out to Debbi@connectfairfield.com. ConnectFairfield also invites anyone who wants to make an individual contribution but is unable to attend the event to donate to the Mike and Patti Fishbach Memorial Scholarship.
