Norway’s all-girl rock powerhouse Cocktail Slippers are hitting the road with their brand-new single “Back Where You Belong” (Wicked Cool Records), and Connecticut fans will have two chances to catch the band’s high-energy live show. The Oslo-based quintet returns to Café Nine in New Haven on October 2 and Golden Street in New London on October 9, both dates with Philly rockers Soraia.

“‘Back Where You Belong’ is an ode to touring!” the band shares. “We belong on stage; we love new adventures and playing live shows. Roll down your car window, lean your elbow out and feel the wind in your hair. Here comes the soundtrack of the road as The Cocktail Slippers take you back where you belong.”

Recorded at Propeller Studios in Oslo and co-produced with Stevie Van Zandt, the track previews the band’s forthcoming sixth album. Already road-tested after a whirlwind year of major festival appearances and high-profile tours, “Back Where You Belong” is built for the stage—and Connecticut will get it up close and loud this fall.
