Chester to host First Friday Night Art Stroll on March 6

Chester will celebrate its First Friday Night Art Stroll on Friday, March 6, from 5 to 8 p.m., with galleries, shops, and restaurants open late for the evening. Visitors can enjoy art, live music, tastings, and special events throughout the downtown area.

At Leif Nilsson Spring Street Studio & Gallery, attendees can hear stories behind the oldest and newest paintings in the gallery while enjoying interludes of traditional and original fiddle tunes by Paddy Whack.

Stories from the Easel will host a spirit tasting with Joshua Alexander from Murphy Distributors of CT, featuring Aupale vodka, fortified spirits, and a full “Lucky 7” lineup.

Little House Brewing Company will offer a Girl Scout Cookie flight pairing starting at 2 p.m., followed by live music from Mitch Nelson from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

Visitors can also explore Dina Varano Gallery, featuring one-of-a-kind handcrafted jewelry, and the Chester Gallery, which is opening “Visualizing Change,” an exhibit highlighting I-Park artists’ environmental-themed works in partnership with ClimateHaven.

Additional highlights include a special spring tea blend at Village Roots, St. Patrick’s Day cocktails and dinner specials at Pattaconk, and a demonstration at Arch 1 Glass showing what visitors can learn in glass art classes.

The Chester First Friday Night Art Stroll is a free community event celebrating local art, culture, and small businesses.
