Stand-up comedy fans in Stamford are in for a treat on Friday, October 17, when NYC-via-Miami comedian Brittany Brave takes the stage at New York Comedy Club Stamford. Known for her sharp wit, animated delivery, and cerebral humor, Brave has quickly established herself as one of the most compelling voices in contemporary comedy.

Brave has been featured on NBC, MTV, OFTV, The Wendy Williams Show, and SiriusXM, and was recognized as a 2024 “Comic To Watch” at the New York Comedy Festival. In 2023, she earned accolades as “Best Comedy Act” from both TimeOut Miami and the Miami New Times, and in 2019 the TBS Network named her “Emerging Talent.”

Her comedy blends personal anecdotes, often inspired by her Italian family and darkly humorous relationship experiences, with a bold, unapologetic perspective aimed at empowering women, LGBTQ+ communities, and anyone open to her unique take on life. Brave describes her work as a “sermon for the girls, gays, and theys,” adding a tongue-in-cheek nod to straights who enjoy her shows.

An experienced performer from the age of three, Brave honed her craft at prestigious comedy institutions including UCB, Second City, iO, and The People’s Improv Theater. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Theater and Dance Performance from the University of Florida.

In addition to stand-up, Brave is the creator and star of the web series The Disastrous Dating Life of Diane Damone, streaming on Tubi, and is in development for its second season. She is also the host of the “Big Yikes” podcast and is in post-production for a Miami comedy docu-special, Muchacha, set for release in 2025.

Her advocacy work is as notable as her comedy. Brave founded the community “Cat Call,” producing all-female and queer content, including the touring variety show The Bad Bitch Brunch. She has raised significant funds for the National Domestic Violence Hotline and has brought national attention to her charitable performances, including her widely covered “Roast of P. Diddy.”
