Two-time Grammy Award winner Billy Strings will bring his summer headline tour to Hartford with a July 28 performance at PeoplesBank Arena, as part of a run that continues an already landmark year for the acclaimed bluegrass artist.

The Hartford stop is among several newly confirmed Northeast dates on the tour, which also includes Boston’s Agganis Arena, two nights at Cross Insurance Arena in Portland, Maine, and a two-night stand at Bethel Woods Center for the Arts in Bethel, New York. Additional dates span the Midwest and beyond, including two nights at Ionia’s County Fairgrounds.

Tickets for the Hartford show will be available through an artist presale beginning Tuesday, Jan. 28, at 10 a.m. local time, with general on-sale set for Friday, Jan. 30, at 10 a.m. Fans can register for presale access at billystrings.com/tour.

The summer tour follows the release of Strings’ latest studio album, Highway Prayers, which is nominated for Best Bluegrass Album at the 68th Annual Grammy Awards. Produced by Strings alongside Jon Brion, the album debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s all-genre Top Album Sales chart, becoming the first bluegrass release in 22 years to top the list. The record has drawn widespread praise, with critics highlighting its expanded sonic palette while remaining rooted in traditional bluegrass.

In support of Highway Prayers, Strings has remained a prominent presence across major media platforms, with recent appearances on NPR’s Tiny Desk, Fresh Air, The Late Show with Stephen Colbert and The Howard Stern Show. He has also released an Apple Music Nashville Sessions EP featuring reworked material from the album, as well as Live at the Legion, a surprise collaborative live album with guitarist Bryan Sutton recorded at Nashville’s American Legion Post 82.

Strings’ 2025–26 touring schedule builds on a winter and spring run that includes multi-night engagements in Louisville, Athens, Asheville and Nashville, capped by an exclusive performance at the Ryman Auditorium.

Since his 2017 debut, Strings has emerged as one of the most decorated artists in modern bluegrass, earning Grammy Awards for Best Bluegrass Album at the 63rd and 67th ceremonies, multiple Americana Music Association honors and repeated International Bluegrass Music Association Entertainer of the Year awards. His live performances have consistently sold out arenas and theaters worldwide, cementing his reputation as a dynamic headliner across genres.
