Aroma Joe’s Honduras Coffee Farmers Visit

Aroma Joe’s will celebrate its annual BeanAversary on Friday, Jan. 16, by offering free coffee to customers while spotlighting its commitment to sustainable sourcing and community support.

In honor of the eighth annual celebration, the handcrafted beverage franchise will give away a free 16-ounce hot or iced coffee at participating locations. Members of the AJ’s Rewards program will receive an even larger perk — one free hot or iced coffee up to 24 ounces — with the offer valid through Jan. 22 for a one-time redemption.

The BeanAversary also carries a charitable component. For every free coffee served, $1 will be donated to the AJ’s Cares Foundation, which supports initiatives focused on health, education, veterans, families in need and environmental conservation.

Since 2019, Aroma Joe’s has committed to using only Rainforest Alliance Certified beans in its proprietary blends, emphasizing ethical sourcing and sustainability. In 2021, the company expanded that mission by establishing the Aroma Joe’s Honduras Coffee Farmers Group, a partnership that provides Honduran farmers with a premium of 20 cents per pound for green coffee beans. The program has helped fund projects such as a higher-elevation milling station that reduces travel time for farmers and cuts water usage.

“As we continue our rapid growth, we have never lost sight of the importance of our coffee farmers and the amazing communities we are proud to serve and support,” said Dave Tucci, president of Aroma Joe’s. “Meeting the farmers who have become true partners in our dedication to sourcing the very best beans has been an incredible experience.”

The BeanAversary celebration comes on the heels of another milestone for the brand. Aroma Joe’s marked its 25th anniversary in 2025, having opened its first location in East Rochester, New Hampshire, in 2000.

The free coffee promotion runs Friday, Jan. 16, during normal store hours at Berlin, Bristol, Southington, and Waterbury locations.
