Ana Popovic brings new album energy to The Kate in Old Saybrook on Sept. 28

Guitar virtuoso and powerhouse vocalist Ana Popovic will light up The Kate on Sunday, Sept. 28, delivering a high-energy performance just days after the digital release of her much-anticipated new album Dance To The Rhythm.

Popovic, celebrated for her fiery guitar work and genre-blending sound, has just released the sultry new single “Hurt So Good”—a simmering acoustic track hailed by Blues Rock Review as “radiating both elegance and power.” The song offers a taste of Dance To The Rhythm, due out digitally Sept. 26 and on CD Oct. 30 through Electric Heel Records/Amplified Distribution.

The upcoming album channels the soulful grooves of ‘70s funk and R&B while staying rooted in Popovic’s fearless brand of modern blues. Fans at The Kate can expect to hear fresh tracks like “Worked Up,” “Sho’ Nuf,” and the gospel-tinged “Dwell On The Feeling,” alongside a sizzling reimagining of Paul Simon’s “Fifty Ways To Leave Your Lover.” With her searing guitar solos, magnetic stage presence, and bold new material, Popovic promises a night that will have Old Saybrook on its feet.
