Rising Pennsylvania rock band American Vanity is bringing its high-energy live show to Connecticut this summer, with a performance scheduled at The Webster on July 9. The date serves as a key stop on the group’s newly announced “17” headline tour, which will take the four-piece ensemble across the United States.

The tour is named after the band’s upcoming debut album, “17,” which is scheduled for a worldwide release on July 17. Produced by Matt Squire, the 10-track record is described as a high-impact body of work that explores modern alternative rock sounds. The album features tracks such as the hook-driven “Lifeline” and the more vulnerable “Kill To Feel,” which the band uses to navigate themes of connection and self-preservation.

American Vanity, formerly known as Burn The Jukebox, utilizes its music to reflect the complexities of living in the modern attention economy. Led by dual vocalists Virginia Franks on bass and Luke Hoffman on guitar, the group is rounded out by lead guitarist Luke Vanchure and drummer Carter Dennis. Their lyrical content often focuses on the pressures society places on individuals regarding image, approval, and personal identity.

In a statement regarding the new album, the band noted that the songs explore what happens when self-worth becomes tied to visibility or loyalty. The record aims to document the realization that staying constantly available can erode one’s identity. According to American Vanity, the album is less about opting out of society and more about learning how to participate in it without losing oneself in the process.

While the “17” tour officially ramps up in July, American Vanity will be performing a handful of shows across Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, New York, and Maryland throughout the spring. Following the Hartford performance, the band will continue to major cities, including New York City, Nashville, and Chicago, before concluding the run in Louisville on August 22.
