Alternate pop & rock band, Nicotine Dolls bring their sound to Fairfield
Tickets are on sale now for their October 14th show at Fairfield Theatre Company
Nicotine Dolls, an alt pop/rock band from New York City, recently announced their signing to Nettwerk Music Group by releasing their latest single, How Do You Love Me, along with its official music video. The band was formed in 2017 and comprises lead vocalist Sam Cieri, guitarist John Hays, bassist John Merritt, and drummer Abel Tabares. How Do You Love Me is a captivating song that combines melancholic melodies with soulful vocals, telling a poignant story of heartbreak and vulnerability. According to Sam, the song came together quickly, but it also made him reflect on his own experiences and the constant fear that those around him may not truly care for him.
He explains that whenever he is with his friends or leaves them, a particular song runs through his head. During this time, he thinks about his flaws and questions why and how his friends choose to love him. The song feels very constant and forward to him due to the constant questioning. Musically, the song is one long crescendo as the lyrics deteriorate into a hole of self-loathing. When he first played back the demo, it sounded like a manic episode. He has been known to have one or two of those, and they carried that feeling into the music video.
