Snowbound Expo 2026 brings gear deals, athletes, and a Rail Jam to Mohegan Sun
Snowbound Expo 2026 takes place Nov. 14-15 at the Earth Expo & Convention Center at Mohegan Sun in Uncasville. The event is moving to the 125,000-square-foot venue, which organizers say is more accessible for visitors from Boston, New York City and Connecticut. More than 23,000 attendees are expected for the start of the 2026-27 snow sports season.
The expo will bring together more than 200 exhibiting brands and resorts. Visitors can shop for gear and apparel, find expo deals, watch film screenings and meet professional athletes. The event follows a Snowsports Industries America study that found a record 32 million Americans took part in snow sports last winter.
Snowboarder Travis Rice and cross-country skier Jessie Diggins lead the speaker lineup. Others include freeskier Tom Wallisch, snowboarder Kimmy Fasani, photographer Dean Blotto Gray, Natural Selection Tour co-founder Liam Griffin, advocate Ellen Bradley, and deaf mountaineers Scott and Shayna. Speakers will appear on the Inspiration Stage.
Attractions include a Snowboard Zone, a Resorts & Tourism Village, a Trampoline Show, a Creative Zone and a themed Ice Bar. The Slope Set-sponsored Alpine Runway will showcase winter fashion. An invitation-only Rail Jam next to the Snowboard Zone will feature top East Coast athletes competing live.
The Après Party After Hours runs Saturday from 8 p.m. until late with DJ sets, a runway show, and giveaways. Each morning, an Ikon Pass worth $1,449 will be given away at the entrance. Two pairs of REKKIE Smart Snow Goggles, valued at $400 each, will also be given away, and SHOKZ will host giveaways throughout the weekend.
Colorado Ski Shop will sell more than $2 million worth of gear on site, with savings of up to 60%. Adult ski packages start at $499, and kids’ packages start at $299. Complete snowboard setups start at $499, and outerwear, helmets, and goggles from brands such as Arc’teryx, Oakley, and Patagonia are marked down by up to 50%.
Tickets start at $16 per day, and a weekend pass costs $30. Seniors over 65 pay $12, and children under 12 and companion aides get in free. The $55 Powder Pass offers single-day entry at 9:30 a.m., an hour before general admission, plus a VIP wristband, a Snowbound Expo T-shirt, a beer token, and a meet-and-greet with Rice, Diggins, Fasani or Wallisch. Attendees can upgrade for $25 to meet another speaker.
Event Director Kate Hawley said the move to Mohegan Sun allows organizers to offer a “Home of Winter Sports” experience. It includes the Rail Jam, the Alpine Runway, athlete fireside chats, and the latest gear.
