The first national tour of the award-winning comedy Oh, Mary! will launch its run in Hartford at the Bushnell Center for the Performing Arts. The limited engagement is scheduled to play from September 19 through September 23, 2026, in the venue’s Belding Theater.

RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars winner Alaska Thunderf*ck will star as Mary Todd Lincoln, with Tony Award winner J. Harrison Ghee starring opposite as Mary’s husband. Additional casting for the production will be announced in the coming months.

Written by Cole Escola and directed by Sam Pinkleton, the dark comedy follows a suffocated Mary Todd Lincoln in the weeks leading up to Abraham Lincoln’s assassination. The one-act play premiered on Broadway in July 2024 before opening in London’s West End, where it won the 2026 Olivier Award for Best New Entertainment or Comedy Play.

Both lead performers expressed enthusiasm for joining the touring cast, with Alaska Thunderf*ck noting her appreciation for Escola’s script and Ghee highlighting the opportunity to perform alongside her. The show’s creative team features scenic design by dots, costume design by Holly Pierson, lighting design by Cha See, sound design by Daniel Kluger and Drew Levy, and wig design by Leah J. Loukas.

Tickets for the Hartford performances are currently available for purchase online, over the phone, or at the Bushnell box office on Capitol Avenue. The production is presented in Hartford by producers Kevin McCollum, Lucas McMahon, Mike Lavoie, and Carlee Briglia in association with the Bushnell.
