It was the mid-’90s, and the feeling of freedom was everywhere. Nick at Nite brought back the classic shows, and summer radio rotations were dominated by Seal’s “Kiss From a Rose,” TLC’s “Waterfalls,” and Blues Traveler’s “Run-Around“, mixed in with hits like “Little Miss Can’t Be Wrong” by the Spin Doctors and “Hey Jealousy” by the Gin Blossoms. We were seeing Batman Forever, Apollo 13 and Pocahontas at the movies. We drank from the hose, made up our own adventures, and lived simply. Today, we navigate constant social media noise, AI chatter, and phones that overload our brains. But for one night, you can step back and relive those iconic ’90s tracks live with Blues Traveler, Gin Blossoms, and Spin Doctors on July 31, 2026 at Mohegan Sun Arena.

For Blues Traveler guitarist Chan Kinchla, sharing the stage with long-time contemporaries creates a familiar atmosphere backstage. The band’s history with Spin Doctors dates back to their early days performing together in New York City during the late 1980s.

“All the bands have been around and we’ve played together in various ways,” Kinchla said. “It’s kind of a great blast from the past, takes you back to 1995 for sure.”

Navigating a catalog that spans nearly four decades and 14 studio albums requires the band to balance signature hits like “Run-Around” and “Hook” with deeper album tracks. The group relies on its improvisational style, altered arrangements, and spontaneous song segues to keep the setlist distinct each night.

“We’ve got to play the hits and we’re very grateful to have some hits,” Kinchla said. “And then around that there’s plenty of time, plenty of space to throw in a few chestnuts that are a little deeper catalog. We try and make it a different set every night.”

The July 31 concert at Mohegan Sun offers fans an evening focused on live jams, shared stage sit-ins, and classic radio hits from the era. Tickets and additional event information are available directly through the venue.
