Goodspeed Musicals has announced the third production of its current theatrical season, featuring the world premiere of a new musical adaptation titled The Snow Goose. The production is scheduled to run from August 28 through October 18, 2026, at The Goodspeed theater in East Haddam, Connecticut.

The musical is based on the novel by author Paul Gallico and was written by the theatrical team of Scott Gilmour and Claire McKenzie. The project represents the first completed commission from the organization’s GoodWorks initiative to reach the main stage following four years of development workshops.

The narrative is set on the coast of England during the onset of World War II and follows the relationship between a reclusive artist and a young woman who rescue a wounded bird. The story details their experiences as the wartime conflict intensifies and leads to a rescue journey to save trapped soldiers at Dunkirk.

Director Marshall Pailet is leading the creative team, which features choreography by Misha Shields and musical direction by resident director Adam Souza. The production incorporates specialized puppet sequences designed by theatrical designer Nicholas Mahon, with Leah Hofmann serving as the lead puppeteer for the ensemble.

The cast is led by Eric Graise in the role of Philip Rhayader and Ashlyn Maddox as Frith, alongside featured performers Sam Sherwood, Charlie Webb, and Ally Bonino. Performance times are scheduled weekly from Wednesday through Sunday, with standard evening curtains at 7:30 p.m. and matinee times at 2:00 p.m.
