Lower Summer Street Block party returns to stamford in June and august 2026

Stamford Downtown is bringing back its block party event on lower Summer Street for two dates this summer. The outdoor gatherings are scheduled to take place on Thursday, June 25, and Thursday, August 13, 2026. Both scheduled events will run in the evening from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

To facilitate the neighborhood events, organizers will close Summer Street to vehicular traffic from Broad Street to Summer Place. The closure transforms the roadway into a dedicated pedestrian zone for attendees. The event is free of charge and open to the general public.

The seasonal block parties will feature expanded outdoor dining patios from local establishments located along the block. The programming also includes live music and varying entertainment options throughout the evening. The street layout is organized to provide an open-street atmosphere within the downtown district.

The multi-month event series encourages visitors to walk, dine, and gather in the center of the downtown area. The street adjustments will temporarily alter normal traffic patterns in the immediate vicinity during event hours. Pedestrians will have full access to the roadway between the designated cross streets.

Organizers are hosting the recurring series to highlight the local business district during the summer months. Additional specific details regarding participating restaurants and entertainment lineups are managed through the downtown district’s event channels. Visitors can access the pedestrian zone directly from connecting downtown intersections.
