Lake Compounce introduces largest Kids Fest lineup ever

Lake Compounce will host its Kids Fest celebration every Saturday and Sunday in June, featuring character meet-and-greets, live magic performances, and activities included with standard park admission. The weekend events begin on Saturday, June 6, and run through Sunday, June 28, at the Bristol amusement park.

The festival schedule relies on a rotating lineup of character appearances each weekend. Blippi returns to the park on June 6 and 7, followed by appearances by Spookley the Square Pumpkin on June 13 and 14. The third weekend, June 20 and 21, features Daniel Tiger and Katerina Kittycat from Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood. The event series concludes on June 27 and 28 with an appearance by mermaids from Timeless Tales at the Crocodile Cove water park section.

In addition to the character appearances, the park’s Starlight Theater will host daily performances of Magic Evan’s Ultimate Kids Fest Spectacular, an interactive magic show utilizing large props and illusions. Balloon artist Rob the Balloon Guy will also provide custom creations throughout the weekends.

The final weekend features structured Rubber Ducky Races at the Croc-O-Nile attraction inside Crocodile Cove. Visitors can purchase rubber ducks to participate in the races, with the proceeds going directly to the Stew Leonard III Water Safety Foundation. The non-profit organization uses these funds to finance swimming lessons, lifeguard training, and water safety education programs.

Doug Hemphill, General Manager of Lake Compounce, noted that the event provides an opportunity for families to interact with these unique characters during the park’s 180th year of operation. Single-day admission tickets for the park start at $36.99 when purchased online, and 2026 Season Passes are currently available at a discount of up to $50.
