Wynton Marsalis to lead Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra in Westport performance

The Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra with Wynton Marsalis will perform at the Levitt Pavilion for the Performing Arts on Sunday, June 28, as part of Marsalis’ final season as artistic director.

The performance, sponsored by Bernstein Private Wealth Management, serves as a cornerstone of the pavilion’s 2026 season. Doors open at 5:45 p.m., followed by an opening set from the Jazz at Lincoln Center Youth Orchestra at 6 p.m. Marsalis and the 15-member ensemble will begin their two-set performance at 7 p.m.

The event marks a significant milestone in Marsalis’ career, as he prepares to conclude his tenure as artistic director of Jazz at Lincoln Center and music director of the orchestra. Marsalis, a New Orleans native and Juilliard-trained trumpeter, has led the resident orchestra since 1988, performing in more than 850 cities globally.

Tickets for the public go on sale Friday, May 1, at 10 a.m. ET. Member pre-sale access begins Tuesday, April 28, at noon. Ticket prices range from $55 for rear-lawn seating to $187.50 for premium reserved seating. Chairs will be provided for all ticket holders.

Proceeds from the ticketed event support the Levitt Pavilion’s mission to provide more than 50 free concerts during the summer season.

Organizers noted that no outside food, drinks, or coolers are permitted, as a full bar and food trucks will be available on-site.
