Goose announces new studio album ‘Big Modern!’ amidst global 2026 tour

Connecticut-based indie-groove quintet Goose announced Tuesday that their sixth studio album, Big Modern!, will be released June 12 via No Coincidence Records.

The announcement follows a series of cryptic teasers, including a social media video starring actor Jake Lacy and a high-profile appearance at a New York Knicks game. During the game, band members wore hoodies spelling out “face,” a nod to the lyrics of the new album’s title track.

The lead single, “Good2B,” debuted Tuesday. The track features a blend of disco-funk and slinking bass lines, serving as an introduction to the album’s exploration of life in an overstimulated, hyper-connected society.

“‘Good2B,’ and Big Modern! as a whole, deal with the occasional state of flow amidst absurdity,” said guitarist and vocalist Rick Mitarotonda. “It’s hyper-convenience, hyper-connected; lost in the digital sauce and feeling pretty good about it.”

The 15-track album highlights the band’s musical evolution, moving between heartland rock piano ballads, orchestral jazz interludes, and synth rock.

The announcement arrives as the band prepares to return to the road. Their 2026 tour schedule resumes April 10 at a sold-out performance in Asheville, North Carolina. The tour includes a destination festival in Mexico, Viva El Gonzo, in May, followed by a headlining run through Europe and the United Kingdom.

Goose will return to North America for a summer headline tour beginning June 13 in Toronto. The run features several multi-night stands at major venues, including:

June 19-20: Madison Square Garden in New York City.
June 30-July 1: Leader Bank Pavilion in Boston.
July 3-4: Saratoga Performing Arts Center in Saratoga Springs, New York.
August 27-28: Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, Colorado.

Select summer dates will feature guest appearances by Julian Lage, The Disco Biscuits, moe., and Greensky Bluegrass.

The band also confirmed that $1 from every ticket sold during the 2026 tour will benefit the Western Sun Foundation, which supports grassroots nonprofits in the communities the band visits.
