Beauty & Essex at Mohegan Sun launches “Disco Days” midweek happy hour

Beauty & Essex has introduced “Disco Days,” a new midweek happy hour experience at Mohegan Sun, offering discounted small plates, cocktails, and wine specials.

The promotion takes place Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 5 to 8 p.m. in the restaurant’s Pearl Lounge and Bar, featuring a curated menu of signature dishes and drinks.

Menu highlights include $10 small plates such as grilled shishito peppers, BBQ fries, Caesar salad, and mac and cheese. Additional offerings, priced at $20, include oven-braised chicken meatballs, tuna poke wonton tacos, East Coast oysters, jumbo shrimp cocktail, little French dips, and grilled cheese and tomato soup dumplings.

The happy hour also showcases the venue’s cocktail program, with drinks such as the Earl the Pearl — a blend of Wheatley vodka, Earl Grey tea, lemon, and mint nectar — alongside other specialty cocktails. Wine specials include half-priced bottles under $100 and 25% off bottles priced above that mark.

“Our partnership with Tao Group Hospitality continues to elevate Mohegan Sun’s dining landscape,” said Jeff Hamilton, president and general manager of Mohegan Sun, in a statement. “The rollout of Beauty & Essex Disco Days as a midweek social event is a great way for guests to enjoy signature dishes and one of the Northeast’s premier cocktail programs at an incredible value.”

Beauty & Essex, which opened at Mohegan Sun in early 2025, is known for its speakeasy-style entrance through a pawn shop and its upscale, shareable dining concept. The restaurant was named “Best Immersive Dining Experience” by Yankee Magazine.

The venue, created by chef Chris Santos, features multiple dining spaces, including the Peacock Dining Room and Locket Private Dining Room, and emphasizes a menu of shareable plates and inventive cocktails.

In addition to Disco Days, the restaurant also offers a “Beauty for Two” dining experience on select nights, featuring a prix fixe menu for couples.
