‘Gilmore Girls’ star Scott Patterson bringing rock-fueled tour to Toad’s Place in New Haven

Scott Patterson, beloved for his role as Luke Danes on Gilmore Girls, is heading to Connecticut this spring – but this time, he’s trading the diner counter for the concert stage.

Patterson will perform at Toad’s Place on April 29 as part of his 2026 spring tour, bringing his band and a high-energy rock show to one of the state’s most iconic music venues.

Calling the opportunity “a real honor,” Patterson said performing at Toad’s Place represents a milestone in his music journey.

“Everybody’s played there,” he said. “Those walls have memories, and the audience has expectations. We’re working hard to bring a set list that will thrill and entertain people.”

Though widely recognized for his portrayal of Luke – the flannel-wearing, no-nonsense diner owner who became a defining character of small-town New England – Patterson said his music stands on its own.

“We’re not trying to be true to a character,” he said. “It’s just what I love and what the band loves.”

Fans attending the show can expect a lively, rock-forward experience rather than a laid-back acoustic set. Patterson described the atmosphere as energetic and interactive, encouraging audiences to sing along and fully engage with the performance.

Beyond the music, Patterson reflected on the lasting impact of Gilmore Girls and its loyal fanbase, which continues to grow decades after the show first aired.

“The fans are incredible,” he said. “They bring so much energy, and they really connect with the experience.”

The Connecticut stop is one of several Northeast dates on the tour, which also includes a performance in Providence and other major cities.
