Milford Public Library announces April 2026 event schedule

The Milford Public Library (57 New Haven Ave, Milford, CT 06460) has released its April 2026 programming schedule, featuring a diverse lineup of musical lectures, health workshops, and community activities.
The month’s highlights include a deep dive into American history through the lens of musical theater. On Tuesday, April 7, at 6:30 p.m., Michael Langlois will present “From Liberty to Legacy: Exploring American Ideals in the Musicals 1776 and Hamilton.” Langlois, an experienced performer and director, will examine the contrasting visions of American society presented in these two revolutionary shows.
Health and wellness programming includes “Tips to Optimize Sleep” with Dr. Wendy Hurwitz on Tuesday, April 14, at 6:30 p.m. Dr. Hurwitz, a former medical researcher for ABC News, will discuss how restorative sleep repairs tissues and clears toxins from the brain. Additionally, Bridges Healthcare will host “The Caring Network,” a grief support group for adults, on Monday, April 13, at 10:30 a.m.

The library’s film series continues with Tuesday Movie Matinees at 2 p.m., featuring “Rental Family” on April 7 and “Anaconda” on April 21. A special Family Movie Night in partnership with Milford Pride will showcase Disney and Pixar’s “Luca” on Wednesday, April 22, at 6 p.m.
Youth and garden enthusiasts also have dedicated sessions:
- LEGO Robotics Coding Challenge: On Thursday, April 23, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., students in grades 4–8 can join Milford Robotics Team 8085 MOJO to program EV3 LEGO robots. Registration is required.
- Bulbs & Blooms: On Wednesday, April 29, at 6:30 p.m., the Milford Garden Club will host UCONN Master Gardener Patricia Primavera for a demonstration on forcing summer bulbs and container gardening.
