Mohegan Sun Golf Club unveils major renovation ahead of new season

Mohegan Sun Golf Club (7 Dows Ln, Baltic, CT 06330) will open for the season with a newly redesigned 18-hole championship course following a multi-million dollar renovation aimed at enhancing playability and the overall golfer experience.

The upgrades include sweeping changes across the course, guided by noted golf course architect Ron Garl. Improvements feature reduced and repositioned bunkers, upgraded cart paths, selective tree removal, and redesigned sightlines to improve course flow and pace of play.

The project also introduced entirely new designs to several holes, along with the installation of updated irrigation and drainage systems to ensure improved playing conditions.

“This is a significant course upgrade after a multi-year renovation, and we’re excited to welcome players back to experience it,” said Philip Krick Jr., vice president and general manager of golf operations. “We’ve enhanced not only the course itself but also the booking experience, making it easier for guests to plan their visit.”

Located a short drive from Mohegan Sun, the course continues to position itself as a premier golf destination in the Northeast.

In addition to the redesigned course, the property offers a range of amenities, including dining at the Greenside Grille & Pub and instruction through the Mohegan Sun Golf Academy, which features updated indoor and outdoor training facilities and technology-driven coaching programs.

The club is also set to host several events organized by the Connecticut State Golf Association, including the Senior Match Play Championship and qualifying rounds for the Connecticut Open and Mid-Amateur Championship, bringing top amateur and professional golfers to the course.

With the latest enhancements in place, Mohegan Sun Golf Club is preparing to welcome players for a new season with improved conditions and a refreshed layout.
