Fly 4D experience takes flight at Maritime Aquarium at Norwalk

A new immersive cinematic experience is set to debut at The Maritime Aquarium at Norwalk, inviting visitors to take part in a high-flying adventure across continents.

Beginning April 1, guests can experience “Fly 4D: Wild Flight to Africa,” a family-friendly attraction that places audiences in the middle of an epic bird migration. The film follows Gus, a small but determined bird who unexpectedly leads a flock on a journey spanning thousands of miles to Africa, encountering challenges that highlight courage, friendship, and teamwork.

The experience is presented in the Aquarium’s 4D Theater, where on-screen action is enhanced by environmental effects such as wind, mist, bubbles, and scent, creating a multisensory journey designed to immerse audiences of all ages.

“Fly 4D is a fun and exciting way for families to feel like they’re part of the adventure,” said Cristy Eagles Moriarty, director of guest operations at the aquarium.

The new film will play alongside “Animal Kingdom: The Wild Awaits 4D,” offering visitors multiple viewing options throughout the day. The 4D Theater has become a popular feature at the aquarium, complementing its exhibits with an added interactive element.

“Fly 4D: Wild Flight to Africa” will run for a limited engagement. Tickets are priced at $7.95 for general admission and $6.95 for members, and the experience is available with or without general aquarium admission.
