UConn women’s basketball coach Geno Auriemma to keynote Middlesex County Chamber Breakfast

Geno Auriemma, head coach of the University of Connecticut women’s basketball program, will serve as the keynote speaker at the Middlesex County Chamber of Commerce breakfast meeting on Monday, March 16, 2026.

The event, sponsored by Webster Bank, will be held from 7 to 9 a.m. at the Sheraton Hartford South Hotel in Rocky Hill. Admission is $30 for Chamber members and $40 for non-members. Advance registration is required at www.middlesexchamber.com.

Chamber President Johanna Bond said Auriemma has been a regular guest speaker for many years. “We are all very proud of Geno’s success in leading the UConn Women’s Basketball Program, and we look forward to welcoming him back on March 16,” she said.

Auriemma, entering his 41st season in 2025-26, has led UConn to 12 NCAA championships, 24 Final Fours, six perfect seasons, and 61 conference titles. With his 1,217th career victory on Nov. 20, 2024, he became the winningest coach in NCAA basketball history. A 2006 inductee to both the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame and the Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame, Auriemma has earned multiple national coach of the year honors and guided the U.S. Women’s National Team to two Olympic gold medals.

Under his leadership, UConn boasts a 100 percent graduation rate among four-year student-athletes, and the program has produced 28 WBCA All-Americans and 15 national players of the year.

The Middlesex County Chamber of Commerce, representing more than 2,000 members and 50,000 employees, hosts monthly breakfast meetings featuring speakers from business, politics, sports, and entertainment, providing networking opportunities for 150 to 300 attendees per event.
