‘Labyrinth: In Concert’ comes to Wallingford as part of 40th anniversary tour

Fans of the 1986 cult classic Labyrinth will have a chance to experience the film in a new way when Jim Henson’s Labyrinth: In Concert stops at the Toyota Oakdale Theatre on Sept. 24, 2026, as part of a 60-city North American tour celebrating the movie’s 40th anniversary.

The concert features a live band performing the full soundtrack in sync with David Bowie’s original vocals while the film is shown on a large HD cinema screen. The musical fantasy, directed by Jim Henson and starring Jennifer Connelly and Bowie, has developed a devoted following since its 1986 release.

Earlier performances of Labyrinth: In Concert were held last year, including a show at College Street Music Hall in New Haven in May 2025, part of the show’s extended run that drew enthusiastic audiences.

The live presentation includes beloved songs such as “Magic Dance,” “Underground” and “As the World Falls Down,” alongside Jones’ sweeping orchestral score, bringing the film’s whimsical world to life.
