Bat Out of Hell – The Musical, the award-winning rock spectacle featuring the songs of Jim Steinman and Meat Loaf, will make a one-night-only stop at the Toyota Oakdale Theatre on March 27, 2026, bringing its high-octane West End production to Connecticut.

The show, which originated in London’s West End, is set for a 7 p.m. performance. Tickets go on sale Friday, Jan. 30, at 10 a.m. through LiveNation.com.

Built around some of the most iconic rock anthems of all time, Bat Out of Hell – The Musical features a world-class cast of singers, dancers and actors backed by an eight-piece live rock band. The production reimagines Steinman’s theatrical songwriting in a dystopian coming-of-age story fueled by explosive staging, choreography and sound.

The musical won the Radio 2 Audience Award for Best Musical at the Evening Standard Theatre Awards and received eight WhatsOnStage Award nominations, including Best New Musical. It has earned widespread critical acclaim, garnering five-star reviews from The Independent, Daily Mirror, Daily Express, Manchester Evening News, and Metro. The New York Times called the show “extravagant, absurd, compulsively hummable.”

Since its debut, Bat Out of Hell – The Musical has played acclaimed runs at the Manchester Opera House, London Coliseum, Dominion Theatre, Toronto’s CAA Ed Mirvish Theatre, and New York City Center, along with international tours spanning the United Kingdom, Ireland, Germany, Australia, and New Zealand. The production has also played Canada, Germany, and held a residency in Las Vegas.

The stage musical draws from Steinman and Meat Loaf’s legendary Bat Out of Hell albums, which have sold more than 68 million copies worldwide. Songs featured in the production include “Bat Out of Hell,” “You Took the Words Right Out of My Mouth,” “Two Out of Three Ain’t Bad,” “It’s All Coming Back to Me Now” and “I Would Do Anything for Love (But I Won’t Do That),” as well as the previously unreleased track “What Part of My Body Hurts the Most.”

Set in a post-apocalyptic city, the story follows rebellious “Lost” youth who flee underground to escape the control of ruler Falco. When Falco’s daughter Raven falls for Strat, the immortal leader of the Lost, their explosive romance threatens to tear both worlds apart.

Bat Out of Hell – The Musical features book, music and lyrics by Jim Steinman, direction by Jay Scheib, and musical supervision by Michael Reed. The North American tour is produced by Emmy and Tony Award winner Michael Cohl alongside Tony Smith and David Sonenberg, with executive producers Glenn Orsher and Julian Stoneman.
