Ice Mosaics comes to Parkville Market on January 16th & 17th

A massive gallery of frozen artwork is coming to excite Connecticut residents out of their post-holiday hibernation during Ice Mosaics at Parkville Market! Fire and ice combine for a limited-time event that is equal parts drama and cozy.

Guests will explore a glacial gallery featuring 40 massive masterpieces composed of colorful ice shards. Each piece is backlit giving it an ethereal, stained glass effect. With a collection that runs the full gamut of prehistoric dinosaurs, arctic animals and pop art scenes, the artwork has plenty of appeal for all ages. Just make sure to see them before they melt! After night one, the current collection is taken away and replaced with an entirely unique set of mosaics for night two. Visitors who come both nights will get to experience 80 different icy illustrations!

While the mosaics are frozen, guests will be cozy as can be! At any point, they can enjoy hot cocoa or warm up by a firepit on the Parkville Market patio and roast s’mores!

Prepare to be wowed as Ice Mosaics also features art of the performance variety! At regular intervals each night, live fire performers will act out daring choreography during their fiery routines. All guests should make a point to stick around until they have experienced this masterful fire dance!

“After the holidays, we all kind of shuffle through the next few months until it gets warmer.” said Matthew Glaser, CEO of BOLD Media, the parent company operating the event. “We developed Ice Mosaics to give the community some much-deserved entertainment and culture so they aren’t stuck inside until Spring. With this brand-new artform, we want to prove that Winter is a season worth celebrating and not just tolerated.” In short – this seasonal event is an all-ages respite from the post-holiday humdrum!
