Playhouse on Park offers four-show subscriptions for 17th Main Stage season

Playhouse on Park (244 Park Rd, West Hartford, CT 06119) is now offering subscriptions for the remaining four shows of its 17th main stage season, with subscribers saving 20% off individual ticket prices.

The lineup includes Gutenberg! The Musical! by Anthony King and Scott Brown, The Mountaintop by Katori Hall, The Lifespan of a Fact by Jeremy Kareken, David Murrell and Gordon Farrell, and The Wild Party by Andrew Lippa, based on the poem by Joseph Moncure March. The subscription program is made possible through the support of the Richard P. Garmany Fund at The Hartford Foundation for Public Giving.

Subscriptions guarantee the same performance day and seats for each production, while also allowing patrons to skip service fees, exchange tickets at no charge, and participate in exclusive subscriber events. Prices range from $112 to $176 depending on date and seating tier. Tickets and subscriptions are available through the Playhouse on Park box office at 860-523-5900, extension 10, or online at www.playhouseonpark.org.

Gutenberg! The Musical! is a high-energy comedy about two aspiring playwrights pitching a musical on the life of Johann Gutenberg, performing all the roles themselves.

The Mountaintop dramatizes the night of April 3, 1968, when Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. retires to his room at the Lorraine Motel and has a soul-searching conversation with a mysterious young maid, Camae.

The Lifespan of a Fact follows an intern fact-checking a magazine essay by celebrated author John D’Agata, exploring the tension between factual accuracy and emotional truth.

The Wild Party, winner of the 2000 Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle Awards for outstanding musical, is set in 1920s Manhattan and follows vaudeville couple Queenie and Burrs as a lavish party spirals into tension, jealousy, and betrayal, featuring a jazz, vaudeville, and gospel-inspired score.

Managed under Playhouse Theatre Group, Playhouse on Park is Greater Hartford’s professional theater destination, presenting thought-provoking and entertaining productions for local audiences.

Fairfield Theatre Company is ringing in the holiday season with a lively lineup of performances throughout December.
