DogStar Rescue @ Apple Barrel Farm Market – November 8

This outdoor event will be held in the parking lot behind the Apple Barrel Farm Market. Stop by the market first to grab a hot coffee, enjoy lunch specials, or pick up some bakery treats and goodies (available for purchase), then head over to meet the dogs!

Visitors can also learn more about opportunities to volunteer, foster, or donate.

Bonsai Bar Workshop @ 1741 Pub & Grill – November 12

Enjoy a creative night out with friends at 1741 Pub & Grill for a Beginner Bonsai Workshop on Wednesday, November 12, starting at 6:30 p.m.

Arrive about 15 minutes early to get seated, order your favorite food and drinks, and pick out your tree and pot before the workshop begins.

Discover the art of bonsai in a fun, relaxed atmosphere—no garden required! Bonsai Bar brings this ancient art form to life with a hands-on, social experience.

Tickets: $85 per person
Each ticket includes a tree, ceramic pot, and two hours of guided instruction. All tools and materials are provided.

During the class, you’ll learn the essential techniques to pot, prune, and shape your very own bonsai tree under the guidance of expert instructors.

Experience a flavorful day featuring a variety of local Connecticut vendors offering a free tasting extravaganza at the Apple Barrel Farm Market & Bakery!

Bring your pet for Pet Photos with Santa before stopping by the market. (Please note: pets are not allowed inside the Apple Barrel Farm Market.) 

Come hungry and sample your way through a seasonal smorgasbord of local cheeses, specialty products, and baked treats.

Pet Photos with Santa Benefiting the Salvation Army @ Apple Barrel Farm Market – November 15

Bring your pet to Photos with Santa at the Apple Barrel Farm Market on Saturday, November 15, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Move over, Rudolph—it’s Rover’s turn to shine! Santa will be on site for festive holiday photos with your pet. A $10 donation to The Salvation Army includes a photo session with Santa, perfect for holiday cards, keepsakes, or showing off your furry friend’s holiday spirit.

A Salvation Army photographer will take the photos and send them directly to your email.

Details:

  • Photos available from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
  • Walk-ups only — no reservations needed
  • Pets must be leashed and friendly with others
  • For everyone’s safety, leashes are required and aggressive behavior may result in being asked to leave
  • Only certified service dogs are permitted inside the Apple Barrel Farm Market

Pets are not allowed inside the market itself, but there’s plenty of festive fun waiting outside.

Gilmore Girls is turning 25, and it’s time to celebrate in true Stars Hollow style! Head to Lyman Orchards for Spill The Tea ~ A Gilmore Girls Afternoon Tea on Sunday, November 16, hosted at Lyman Orchards’ own version of the Dragonfly Inn — the Lyman Homestead. Two seatings are available at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m.

Savor a lovely afternoon featuring teas from Savvy Tea Gourmet of Madison, perfectly paired with a delicious spread prepared by the Apple Barrel Farm Market. Enjoy the Gilmore Girls soundtrack as you chat with fellow fans and relive favorite moments from the show.
