Nathan Lane to be honored at Westport Country Playhouse Gala

Westport Country Playhouse will host its one-night-only fundraiser on Saturday, October 4, with Tony Award-winning Broadway star Nathan Lane named Artistic Honoree. Lane will be celebrated by Broadway talents who have shared the stage with him, including host Danny Burstein, along with Nikki Renée Daniels, Santino Fontana, Cady Huffman, Christine Pedi, and Krysta Rodriguez.

The evening will also recognize Anne Keefe, former Playhouse co-artistic director, who will receive the 2025 Playhouse Leadership Award. Keefe has been a cornerstone of the Playhouse since 1973, serving in many leadership roles and curating the long-running Script in Hand playreading series.

The gala schedule includes a 7 p.m. curtain with live auction, presentations, and performances, followed by a 9 p.m. after-party in the Lucille Lortel White Barn Center. Tickets for the pre-show reception are sold out, but tickets for the performance and after-party remain available for $250, with a portion tax deductible. Proceeds support the Playhouse’s productions, programs, and operations.

Known for his iconic roles in The Birdcage, The Producers, and as the voice of Timon in Disney’s The Lion King, Lane has won multiple Tony Awards, Drama Desk Awards, and an Emmy for his work on Hulu’s Only Murders in the Building.
