Glow Wild returns to Beardsley Zoo with new lanterns and experiences

Connecticut’s Beardsley Zoo (1875 Noble Ave, Bridgeport, CT 06610) is thrilled to announce the return of its wildly popular Glow Wild Lantern Festival, kicking off September 25th through December 14th, every Thursday through Sunday evening from 5:30-9:30 p.m. This year, guests can expect all new lanterns and offerings to become part of the glow in the zoo’s illuminating after-hours adventure.

This year’s lanterns will take guests on a glowing journey through time with prehistoric Dinosaurs and under the sea fun with fish. Over 50 large-scale, lighted sculptures will transform the Zoo’s pathways into a world of wonder. Returning favorites like the breathtaking 100-foot dragon and expanded interactive themed areas offer more glowing moments for guests of all ages.

“This year’s Glow Wild will be our most exciting yet, with new light displays, immersive add-ons, and interactive features,” said Zoo CEO Jim Wharton. “We’re giving guests more ways to enjoy the Zoo at night and create lasting memories. Whether you’re here for the lights, the games, or the glow gear, there’s really something magical about GLOW Wild.”

New for 2025, Glow Wild will shine even brighter with expanded experiences designed to immerse guests in the magic of the night. Visitors can become part of the spectacle with the addition of glow gear available on-site, offering glowing accessories. Glow Igloos will be available to reserve nightly, offering a cozy, illuminated space for up to eight guests—perfect for family gatherings or a night out with friends. Glow Mobile Golf Cart Tours will offer a guided ride through the lantern displays, complete with exclusive glow enhancements. The Glow Café also returns with seasonal favorites like hot cider and donuts, plus new offerings to warm and delight guests as they explore the dazzling displays.
