The Milford Regional Chamber of Commerce, proudly partnered with our naming sponsor, Xfinity, is excited to present Milford’s inaugural Lobster Roll Festival on Saturday, September 20th at scenic Walnut Beach. This festival celebrates Milford’s proud title as the birthplace of the hot buttered lobster roll. With the support of Mazda of Milford, this will become a Milford region tradition.

Milford’s iconic culinary history began in the 1920s at Perry’s Restaurant, where Harry Perry crafted the very first lobster roll. Today, this delicious sandwich is a cherished New England staple.

Simon McDonald, Director of Marketing at the Chamber, shares, “Milford has waited long enough to fully embrace our culinary claim to fame. It’s the perfect opportunity to celebrate the lobster roll right where its journey began.”
