Mohegan Sun continues to cement its status as a must-visit Northeast destination, earning top honors in Yankee Magazine’s “Best of New England” 2025 Travel Guide. The publication named Mohegan Sun Arena a winner among the “10 Best Things to Do in Connecticut This Summer” and recognized Beauty & Essex as the state’s “Best Immersive Dining Experience.”

These awards follow a series of recent accolades for Mohegan Sun Arena, including Pollstar, Billboard, Newsweek and the Academy of Country Music.The 10,000-seat venue draws more than 700,000 guests and hosts over 120 events annually, consistently selling out headline shows and offering fans an all-in-one entertainment experience.
Upcoming arena concerts include James Arthur (June 29), Rod Stewart (July 25), Old Dominion (Aug. 22), Eric Clapton (Sept. 20) and longtime Mohegan Sun Arena favorites, The Jonas Brothers (Nov. 14). Adding to the excitement are can’t-miss moments beyond the music, such as stand-up powerhouse Sebastian Maniscalco on Sept. 13. The Connecticut Sun also have thrilling home games inside Mohegan Sun Arena throughout the summer including games against the Dallas Wings (June 20), Las Vegas Aces (July 6), Seattle Storm (July 9), Los Angeles Sparks (July 24), New York Liberty (Aug. 4), and more.
The recognition also spotlights the resort’s exceptional culinary scene, with Beauty & Essex awarded the “Best Immersive Dining Experience” by Yankee Magazine. Known for its hidden entrance through a working pawn shop, glamorous interiors and globally inspired menu, this speakeasy-style concept has quickly become a highlight of Mohegan Sun’s dining portfolio since its debut in February.
The 7,000-square-foot space is divided into four unique spaces, from the jewel-toned Pearl Lounge to a dramatic chandelier-lit dining room, each with a distinct mood and sensory experience. Helmed by celebrity chef Chris Santos, the menu showcases inventive, shareable dishes that elevate familiar flavors. Highlights include the signature grilled cheese, smoked bacon & tomato soup dumplings, oven-roasted bone-in filet and an indulgent three-pound lobster stuffed with crab and shrimp.
