Jersey Mike’s in Wilton is more than Just A Sub Above

About once a month, my family of seven orders takeout from a local CT eatery. We sit together, eating and talking about the day. This moment of bonding seems to only come at mealtimes, and it is easier when none of us have done the cooking. This month, we decided to try Jersey Mike’s in Wilton (35 Danbury Rd, Wilton, CT 06897) for our family takeout night, and it didn’t disappoint!

We ordered a variety to cover everyone’s tastes— a couple of their famous giant cold subs and a giant hot sandwich for a little extra flavor. The Original Italian sub (#13) was a standout: piled high with fresh meats, provolone, and veggies, all seasoned with that “Mike’s Way” vinegar-and-oil mix that added the perfect tangy kick. The bread was soft but sturdy enough to hold everything together, and you could tell it was freshly baked. We also ordered a delicious Turkey and Provolone (#7) sub, which was equally impressive. I don’t know what it is about Jersey Mike’s, but their subs always taste so fresh with just the right amount of everything.

My personal favorite was Mike’s Famous Philly cheesesteak (#17), which came warm and packed with flavor. The meat was juicy, the cheese melty, and there was just the right amount of grilled onions and peppers. Everyone enjoyed a little of each. The meal was complete with chips, tasty chocolate cookies, brownies, and drinks.

The Family Breakdown Review:

Kris – “Honestly, the best Philly Cheesesteak I ever had. I always love them!”

Camille – “It’s hard to mess up any sub when using such delicious fresh baked bread.”

Anne – “I loved the Italian Sub. It was the perfect meal”

Caleb – “I’m all about the brownies and cookies. What’s not to love?”

Harrison – “Call me a traditionalist, but the Turkey and Provolone were the best, hands down.”

Aunia – “I loved them all! One of my very favorite places.”

Lily – “It was all very good – but I’m just happy I didn’t have to cook.”

Overall experience

Jersey Mike’s in Wilton is perfect for a family take-out night. Their staff is wonderful, friendly, and quick. We love all the options and how fresh everything tastes. We’ll definitely be doing more Jersey Mike’s in the future. We can’t recommend them any higher than we do. Go check them out.
