STINGRAY is an Indie Rock band formed in 2023 at Fairfield University by a few talented students. They have played many shows in Connecticut and New York since their formation and have developed a following on social media and on Fairfield’s campus. With their first EP on the horizon, follow Kayla, Andrew, Ashton, and Jack as they push the envelope of Indie Rock that Stings! The LeeVees – Adam (Guster) & Dave (Zambonis) Present a Hanukkah Party For All!
The LeeVees is a rock band from New York City featuring Adam Gardner of Guster and Dave Schneider of the Zambonis. The band was formed when the two bands went on tour together. The latter band only writes songs about hockey. Gardner and Schneider thought it would be fun to form another rock band, a Jewish one, that only wrote songs about Hanukkah, because there was a dearth of contemporary songs about that holiday. It first came to prominence near the end of 2005 with its debut album, Hanukkah Rocks. After realizing its initial approach was rather narrow, it continues as a band with a strong Jewish identity.

The Thing
The Thing is a four piece from New York City.
The band originated in High School when Michael Carter, Jack Bradley, and Zane Acord bonded over a shared love for rock & roll. Over the years they honed their craft, self recording and writing songs influenced by 60’s pioneers such as the Kinks, Grand Funk Railroad, and artists of The Nuggets Compilation. As they progressed in skill and knowledge the band started envisioning a career inspired by the likes of Brian Jonestown Massacre, King Gizzard, and The Black Keys.
The Thing started playing shows and creating a buzz around New York City in the Winter of 2022. During that time the group met drummer Lucas Ebeling who was freelancing in the New York jazz scene. With the four piece finally solidified, the band quickly started touring across the country. They recently completed a full North American tour with sold out shows in Brooklyn, Philadelphia, Richmond, Charleston, SC, Oklahoma City, Los Angeles, and Chicago, along with big slots at Governors Ball, Boston Calling, Hopscotch Festival, and Summerfest. Since 2022, The Thing has played over 200 shows. Also, a European tour is booked for the Fall of 2024.
Their debut LP, ‘Here’s the Thing’, was recorded and produced by Jack in Zane’s childhood home in Sharon, CT as well as the band’s studio in Brooklyn. After establishing their sound and recording process, the band turned around the month after it was released to the public and recorded their second LP, ‘The Thing Is’ in May of 2023. The album was recorded in one month, with Lucas on the kit this time. They intended to make a more experimental album that was also recorded with all four members playing together in the same room. This strengthened their DIY ethos and opened up their sound.

Hailing from the vibrant music scene of Chicago, Lee DeWyze’s journey into the spotlight began at a young age, honing his craft in his local scene, before catapulting to fame as the winner of American Idol’s Season 9.
Eager to showcase his identity as a songwriter post-American Idol, Lee embarked on a creative journey that led to the release of his debut album, “Frames.” His music soon found its way into the hearts of audiences worldwide, with one of his songs making its debut in the popular series “The Walking Dead,” opening doors into the world of licensing and synchronization, and introducing his music to a whole new audience.
Since, Lee’s music has been featured in over 100+ shows, movies, trailers, and commercials, solidifying his status as a darling of the licensing and sync community. With four records he’s written under his belt, each blending indie and commercial appeal, Lee has firmly established himself as a prominent figure in the singer-songwriter scene.
Beyond his solo career, Lee’s songwriting prowess has led him to collaborate with and write for numerous other artists, further expanding his influence within the music industry. For the past 15 years, he has graced stages around the world, captivating audiences with his emotional performances and timeless storytelling.
Recently, Lee ventured to Tennessee to embark on his next musical chapter, diligently crafting his upcoming album set for release in mid-2024. As anticipation builds for his new release, fans can expect an accompanying tour that promises to captivate audiences and reaffirm Lee’s status as a household name in the music world. Whether he’s on stage, in the studio, or weaving his melodies into the fabric of beloved films and television shows, Lee DeWyze continues to leave an indelible mark on the music landscape, enchanting listeners with his emotion fueled songs and authentic, honest storytelling. Keep an eye out for Lee’s upcoming tour, set to follow the release of his highly anticipated new album.
