Haven Hot Chicken announces new location in Newington opening in April

Haven Hot Chicken, which brings Nashville Hot Chicken and “Not Chicken” to the area as one of the first fully dedicated Nashville Hot Chicken concepts in New England, today announced that its seventh location, Store #007 in Newington, Connecticut, will be opening on Saturday, April 13, 2024. Located at 12 Fenn Road, the 1600 square foot location will feature the brand’s signature menu of Crispy, Crunchy, Juicy, Spicy, Delicious chicken and vegetarian options ranging from Country (not spicy) to Haven (extremely spicy), including the epic and signature “THE Sandwich,” as well as other featured mains, classic sides and seasonal limited-time offerings. The brand also operates locations in New Haven, Orange, Norwalk, North Haven, Storrs and Middletown, with Fairfield and Oxford opening this year.

Our guests have come to know and love our grand opening celebrations – so we’ll be once again opening our doors at 11am on April 13th to give away 203 of our signature item – THE Sandwich – to the first 203 guests in line to join us on this BIG day.”

The Newington location will be open 7 days a week (for everyone!) from 11am-10pm, offering limited seating for in-house dining, online ordering with curbside takeout, delivery with DoorDash and UberEats, and a robust catering service. The brand’s mission of helping raise crucial funds to help curb food insecurity in the state of Connecticut through “The Great Banana Pudding Drive,” donating the cost of one meal from the sale of each absurdly delicious banana pudding to the organization, continues with the company’s long-term partnership with Connecticut Foodshare. To date, Haven Hot Chicken has helped to raise funds for over 60,000 meals for CT’s residents in need.

Haven Hot Chicken was founded in 2020 by local restaurateurs Rob LaTronica, Craig Sklar, Jason Sobocinski, Tom Sobocinski and Etkin Tekin. The restaurant was highlighted in 2023 as one of the “8 Fast-Food Chains that Serve the Best Hot Chicken” around the country by Eat This, Not That!, and winner of The Perfect Pitch concept competition at the 2023 Fast Casual Executive Summit. The brand was also recognized as one of the 2024 20 Fast Casual Brands to Watch by FastCasual.com and recently was called out in QSR Magazines 40 under 40 as a top brand with under 40 sites.
