The annual Stony Creek Christmas Pageant is December 16th
The annual Stony Creek Christmas Pageant takes place on Saturday evening, December 16th from 6-8 p.m. Hosted by Stony Creek Congregational Church, Branford, CT 06405 with support from the Stony Creek Community, the long running holiday event depicts seven biblical Christmas scenes staged in and around the quaint Village of Stony Creek.Â
At 6 p.m., the Stony Creek Fife & Drum Corp kicks off the night’s activities by marching the ½ mile route from the Stony Creek Museum to Madera Park. The biblical scenes feature local school children and live animals. Local school children from East Shore Catholic Academy, Francis Walsh Intermediate, Branford High School and Tisko Elementary will participate as actors in the scenes. Over 1,000 luminaries light the festival route.
A Musical Performance by Allegro Performing Arts Academy will be held in the sanctuary of the Congregational Church at 6:30 pm. That evening, the general public is invited to visit the Stony Creek Museum and The Legacy Theater. Local shops and the Stony Creek Market will be open.
This event would not be possible without the support from Stony Creek Market, Thimble Island Marine, Ferguson & McGuire Insurance Service, Premier Auto Group of Branford, Stony Creek Package, Sea Mist, House of Today @ Stony Creek, JB Sports LLC, Stony Creek Depot, and The Legacy Theater. The event is also supported by Kate and David Williams, Theodore F. Ells, Attorney at Law and H.W. ZuWalick & Sons Sawmill.
